 Application

Used as wiring, junction and pull boxes.

Type 3 enclosures are constructed for either indoor or outdoor use to provide protection to personnel against incidental contact with the en-closed equipment; to provide protection against falling dirt, rain, sleet, snow, and windblown dust; and will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure (UL 50 5.1.7, 2007).

Construction

Enclosure and cover are fabricated from galvanized steel.

All continuous welded seams are finished smooth.

Enclosure standard without knockouts or mounting holes.

Cover is equipped with oil and water resistant gasket.
